MFL magnetic flux leakage test

MFL magnetic flux leakage test is one of the advanced inspection methods and a suitable technology to find the corrosion of the bottom of tanks and pipes in large volume.

The detector part of the device consists of a very strong permanent magnet and a set of sensors.

In this method, to detect the location of the defects, first the part under test is surrounded by a large magnetic field created by a strong magnet at the saturation limit and if there are changes in the part due to possible defects, the normal flow of the magnetic flux is disturbed and the leakage of the flux in the defect is detected by sensors. It is strongly received.

The information received by the sensors is sent to the computer part of the device and images are created based on the amount of flux received by the sensor. Examining the recorded images makes it possible to determine the location of the defects according to the intensity of the flux, which is caused by the intensity of corrosion.
